A Diamond Heart.

This song from Alan Walker is one of my favorite songs of all time. I heard it and it has been stuck with me since then. 

What if I had a heart made of diamond? Diamonds do not shatter or break easily when pain or pressure is applied on them. They remain unchanged, same and strong.

What if, I had, such a HEART? Wouldn't that be wonderful? I could love, and love and love, without ever needing to think about how I'd feel if my heart ever gets broken or torn apart.

Well, we all must've thought about it at least once in your lives. And the idea itself is so convincing and practical.

You can love however you want. Get attached and feel the world as deeply as you want. And no matter how ugly things get, or how badly you get betrayed, your heart won't even feel the slightest of pain. You'll become so heartless that even when the whole world is burning, you inner heart won't feel a single thing.

IS THAT REALLY WHAT YOU WANT?

To have a heart that can only feel love? A heart that can only experience highs of love. All the sweetness. All the light, but no darkness.

That kind of heart, dear reader, is not a HEART at all. It is not alive. It is everything but a HUMAN HEART.

A real heart is the one made of flesh and skin. One which is alive, beating and rhyming. Such a heart is capable of feeling love and pain at the same time. It is capable of being wounded, scarred and broken.
